Childs and Childs Fall in Wilson/ITA Midwest Regional Championship

The University of Louisville's Austen Childs and Simon Childs lost to Michigan's Mike Sroczynski and Jason Jung in the finals of the Wilson/ITA Midwest Regional Championship on Monday.
Sroczynski and Jung, ranked 18th in the nation and the tournament's top seeded team defeated fifth-seeded Childs and Childs 8-4 in the finals. The loss was the 26th-ranked Louisville duo's first of the season and snapped their eight-match winning streak.
"Michigan's team showed why they were the number one seed today," said U of L head coach Rex Ecarma. "We had no answer for Strazinsky's serve - their team was hitting on all cylinders, I think they had only two unforced errors. Childs and Childs were one of the hottest teams in the country and will have to start another streak. We'll go home and hope for an at-large bid to the Indoor Championships."
