
Rowing to Open Fall Schedule Saturday Against Murray State

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville rowing team will open the 2005 fall race schedule against in-state rival Murray State on Saturday, Sept. 10 at 3 p.m. EDT at KenLake State Resort Park in Aurora, Ky. The Cards and Racers and will race 4's and 2's covering head and sprint distances.
"We're looking to get off to a solid start this fall," said U of L rowing head coach Richard Ruggieri, entering his sixth season at U of L. "As we enter our first season in the BIG EAST Conference, we know it's important to have a strong fall to prepare for the spring season."
Following the race at Murray State, the Cards will compete at the Head of the Licking in Cincinnati, Ohio on Sept. 24. U of L is also scheduled to race this fall at the Head of the Chattanooga on Oct. 8 in Chattanooga, Tenn., the Head of the Eagle on Oct. 22 in Indianapolis, Ind., and the Head of the Elk on Oct. 30 in Indy.
