Cardinal Rowing Announces 2005-06 Novice Team

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville rowing program has announced roster for the 2005-06 Novice team. Overall, 35 women started tryouts for the 2005-06 team and the following list of 26 women will be part of the novice program for 05-06.
According to U of L novice team coach Laurie Featherstone, the group showed a great deal of enthusiasm and effort throughout the week of tryouts and this group will now have the task of developing as a team to become strong contenders in the novice category throughout the fall and spring season. The U of L Novice team will compete at the BIG EAST Championships in April, 2006 in Worcester, Mass., in the novice category.
The first race of the season for the U of L Novice squad is set for Oct 22 at the Head of the Eagle in Indianapolis, Ind. The novices will start practise this Monday at the Cardinal Boathouse from 3-5 p.m. or 5-7 p.m.
