
Men's Golf Finishes Fifth at C-USA

GULFPORT, Miss. - Guided by freshmmen Daryl and Derek Fathauer, the University of Louisville men's golf team finished fifth at the Conference USA Men's Golf Championships at the Grand Bear Golf Club in Gulfport, Miss.
TCU won the tournament for the fourth straight year. Charlotte took the second place finish with a team total of 867 and placed three competitors in the top 12. Tulane produced a third place finish with a total of 872, after being just one stroke behind league foe UAB following the second day of play. UAB finished fourth with an overall score of 877, while Louisville rounded out the top five with a score of 883.
> Daryl, who was named first All-Conference USA and Freshman of the Year, tied for 11th by shooting 71-76-71=218. Derek was named second team All-League, tying for eighth overall with his score of 74-68-74=218.
Senior Charlie Woo was tied for 23rd after shooting 77-75-70=222, and freshman Adam Rainaud was tied for 39th at 74-79-74=227. Senior Brett Jones closed out the top five for the Cards with his 54th place ending at 78-79-78=235.
