Despite sparkling individual performances, the University of Louisville's men's swimming and diving team ultimately fell to Notre Dame 242-117 in the final session of the three-session invitational-style meet.
"The format of this meet was conducive for us to swim a wide range of events. We discovered great versatility in a lot of our swimmers," said Arthur Albiero. "We had some solid performances today highlighted by freshman Andrei Teudeanwinning the 200 back. This was a great rehearsal of championship format of meets to come such as the Miami Invitational and ultimately the conference championship. This was an important learning opportunity for our young team. We are ready to embark on a whole new phase of our season and we are excited about the weeks to come."
In the final session, Andrei Teudean won the 200-back with a time of 1:53.90. The men's 400-Free Relay team of Teudean, Charlton Lawson, Chris Pinkston and Travis Gray was credited with a win.
