LOUISVILLE, Ky. - - The University of Louisville men's tennis team is set to host the 6th annual Louisville Fall Invitational Tournament Oct. 8-10. All matches will be played at the Bass-Rudd Tennis center on the University's Belknap Campus.
This year, the tournament will again feature three divisions in both singles and doubles. The strong field includes 18 teams from around the region: Ball State, Bradley, Chicago State, Dayton, DePaul, Eastern Kentucky, Illinois, Iowa, IUPUI, IU-Southeast, Kentucky, Louisville, Morehead State, Murray State, Southern Illinois, Southern Indiana, Tennessee-Martin, and Wright State.
"This is one of the strongest fields ever for the Louisville Tennis Invitational. It includes former national champion Illinois, SEC power Kentucky, Mid-American Conference power Ball State and Iowa as well as 12 other very competitive teams," said Louisville coach Rex Ecarma.
"We have five players representing U of L in this event and they will all have to really play their absolute best to win their division. It will be exciting to see the Louisville debuts of Slavko Radman and Nicolas Houard."
First round singles action will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 8.
