LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville men's tennis player Cody Conley is ranked No. 53 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's preseason singles rankings. The doubles team of Conley and Octavian Nicodim notched a No. 21 ranking.
Conley, a senior from Floyds Knobs, Ind., finished the 2002 season with a 20-13 singles record and earned All-Conference USA honors. He closed out the season ranked No. 89 in the nation. The team of Conley and Nicodim posted an 11-8 record in 2002 and finished the season ranked No. 43 in the ITA rankings.
"Cody Conley has developed as one of the top combination, singles and doubles players in the country," said Louisville head coach Rex Ecarma. "I believe Cody can be the first player in U of L history to compete in the NCAA tournament in singles and doubles. He is the heart of our program, but Octavian Nicodim is the future of our program. The future will rest on building around him."
