KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - The University of Louisville women's rowing team was defeated by the University of Tennessee Saturday morning on Lake Loudoun in Knoxville.
The Cardinals placed second out of three boats in the Novice 4+ race with a time of 8:14.2. The Lady Vols' top crew won the event in 7:56.0.
In other action, the Cards finished third out of three boats in the Varsity 8+, Novice 8+ and Novice 4+ events.
"A good deal of seat racing will be done this week," said head coach Richard Ruggieri. "The results will give us a clearer picture of our team for both the student-athletes and coaches alike."
The Cardinals return to action Saturday, April 14, when they travel to Cincinnati to race the Bearcats.
