
Lien Earns League Player of the Week Honors

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville men's tennis player Joachim Lien was named Conference USA Player of the Week.
Lien defeated Steve Pillion of Western Michigan 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 playing at No. 2 singles over the weekend. The singles win extended his winning streak to seven and improved his dual match record to 16-3. Lien teamed up with Tvrtko Kujundzic at No. 1 doubles and defeated the Broncos' Ryan Tomlinson and Ryan Maarschalk 8-6 to extend their doubles winning streak to six. He aided in the 4-3 win over Western Michigan by adding a singles point and helping win the doubles point as well.
The Cardinals (16-5) will travel to Nashville, Tenn. to take on No. 41 Vanderbilt on March 31.
