The Louisville women finished 29 points ahead of Eastern Illinois, while the men finished second to Western Illinois. In Rick Hill's final season coaching the women, the team's victory also earned him Women's Coach of the Year honors.
Catherine Dievendorf was named Female Swimmer of the Year for collecting three individual first place medals, 200-, 500- and 1650-free, in addition to helping her team to a pair of relay firsts. The Cardinal sophomore also earned three first-place finishes, 100-butterfly and the 100- and 200-back, and swam on two first place relay teams.
