Men's Golf Captures Earl Yestingmeier Invitational

Yorktown, Ind. - The University of Louisville men's golf team placed four golfers in the top 11 and captured the team title at the Earl Yestingmeier Invitational. The Cardinals' 54-hole score of 847 was good for a nine-shot victory over Western Kentucky.
Senior Grant Sturgeon fired a final round 74 (+2) to finish the tournament in a fifth place tie with teammate Brett Jones and Dan Witt of host Ball State. Jones opened the final round in a first place tie with fellow Cardinal Mark Anderson but ballooned to a 77 over the final 18 holes to finish fifth with a two-day total of 212 (-4).
Anderson shot a final round 78 to finish with a three-round total of 213 (-3) while freshman Charlie Woo's 74 placed him in a two-way tie for 11th place.
