Louisville, Ky. -- - errors to lead the University of Louisville volleyball team to a sweep of the University of Western Ontario the Louisville International Tournament at Cardinal Arena.
The Cardinals, won 15-4, 15-4, 15-8, however their record stays at 2-0 as it was an exhibition match.
"The Canadian team is very well coached and showed a lot of discipline despite the height differential," said U of L head coach Leonid Yelin. "It was also an excellent choice to get a look at some different combinations in the lineup."
In all, 12 Cardinals saw action, including Emily Roberson, who moved over to setter and got 18 assists.
Louisville exhibited superior firepower, hitting .296 and had another big blocking day with 17 to Canada's four.
Junior Lesley Drury had six kills on seven attacks and seven blocks. Fellow middle blocker Stacey Mercer added six kills and a pair of blocks.
Western Ontario was led by Bridget Campbell who had seven kills and five digs.
The Cardinals travel to Lexington, Tuesday for a match with intrastate rival Kentucky.
