Cross Country Teams Open Seasons At Woodford Trials

VERSAILLES, Ky. - The University of Louisville women's cross country team finished second and the men finished third at the Woodford Cross Country Trials in Versailles, Ky.
Eastern Kentucky won the women's three-team meet with 15 points, followed by the Cardinals with 55 points and Kentucky with 71 points.
Eastern Kentucky dominated the two mile race with all five runners finishing in the top five. Theresa Olsen of EKU won the race with a time of 11:45.
U of L's top finisher was Kim Shore who placed eighth with a time of 12:27. Alison Bradford finished 10th with a time of 12:31.
In the men's race, Kentucky came out on top with 35 points, Eastern Kentucky finished second with 37 points and Louisville placed third with 51 points.
Eastern Kentucky had three runners finish in the top five. Kentucky's Kevin O'Connor won the race with a time of 16:07.
U of L's top finisher was Mark Biros who finished sixth with a time of 16:48. Kell Griffin finished eighth with a time of 17:00.
