Cross Country Teams Finish Fourth at WKU Old Timers Classic

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - The University of Louisville men's and women's cross country teams each finished fourth at the WKU Old Timers Cross Country Classic in Bowling Green, Ky.
In the women's race, Western Kentucky won the nine-team event with 37 points, Eastern Kentucky was second with 43 points and Murray State placed third with 96 points. Western Kentucky's Val Lynch finished in first place with a time of 17:30.
U of L's top finisher was Kim Shore who finished 16th with a time of 18:41.0. Alison Bradford finished 19th with a time of 18:49 and Marea Ingwersen finished 22nd with a time of 19:11.
For the men, Western Kentucky captured the eight-team race with 43 points, followed by Eastern Kentucky with 44 points and Murray State with 85 points. Western Kentucky had three runners finish in the top five, with Aaron Mullins of WKU finishing first with a time of 25:21.
U of L's top finisher was Mark Biros who placed sixth with a time of 26:09. Kell Griffin and Joe Mondo finished 11th and 12th with times of 26:52 and 26:53, respectively.
