Campbell, Lee Named Rowing Co-Captains

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Sophomores Melissa Campbell and Nikki Lee have been named as co-captains for the 2000-01 University of Louisville rowing team, according to head coach Richard Ruggieri.
Campbell, a 5-11 native of Winter Park, Fla., finished the inaugural 1999-2000 season as a member of the First Novice 8+ crew, while Lee, a 5-6 native of New Albany, Ind., finished last season as a member of the Second Novice 8+ crew.
"I look forward to these two young women serving as captains," said Ruggieri. "We will look for them to help lead the way as we push to the next level this season."
The Cardinals will open their 2000 season on Saturday, October 14 at the LemonHead Regatta in Bloomington, Ind.
