Kelsey Penebaker was named the director of sports medicine/women's health for the University of Louisville in August 2021.
She serves as the Director of Sports Medicine and Women's Health at the University of Louisville where she is responsible for collaborating with Health and Performance entities to develop and implement Women's Health policies, procedures, and educational programming. She also serves as a clinical athletic trainer for the UofL Volleyball program. Prior to joining the University of Louisville, she was a staff athletic trainer at the University of Michigan with the field hockey, volleyball and spirit programs.
A native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin , Kelsey earned her bachelor's degree in athletic training while competing as a volleyball student athlete at Winona State University, and master's degree in Integrative Studies with a Public Health focus at Northern Kentucky University. She holds certifications in Graston Technique M1 and M2, Mulligan Concept for the upper and lower extremity, Dry Needling, 3D Maps, Blood Flow Restriction therapy, and is a Corrective Exercise/Performance Enhancement Specialist. Kelsey enjoys traveling, attending concerts and sporting events, and spending quality time with her dog (Jax).
