Bio
2021: Emily played in 10 sets as a senior recording 13 kills, two digs and six blocks. She had a season-high seven kills at Xavier with 11 swings and five blocks. She had three kills versus TAMU-CC. After the volleyball season, Emily joined the UofL Track team where she became the ACC high jump champion.
2020: Did not play in the 2020 season.
2019: Middle blocker Emily Scott played in 19 matches with a season-high of 14 kills against NC State and 12 versus North Carolina. She hit .500 against Dayton (5-0-10), and had a hot hand against No. 19 Cincinnati, hitting .417 (5-0-12) and .241 versus UNC (12-5-29). She recorded three assists and one ace (versus Clemson). She recorded 48 total blocks with a season-high seven at home versus UNC. She had six versus UNC, four versus UC and four against four opponents. With a total of 20 digs, she had a season-high four versus Western Kentucky in the regular season. Emily is an outstanding student as a member of the ACC Honor Roll and a Red and Black Scholar.
2018: Emily Scott hit .333 last season with 127 kills on 288 swings. She had 12 block solos and 67 block assists and scored 172.5 points for the Cardinals. She had double digit kills in three matches with a season-high of 15 versus Notre Dame. She had four solo blocks against Lipscomb and a season high eight block assists versus North Carolina. She missed the final five matches of the season with a leg injury but managed to come back briefly for the final match of the season versus Illinois. She had a team season high of 10 blocks versus Lipscomb. Scott was selected as the ACC Freshman of the Week when she was key in the then-ranked No. 25 Cardinals’ sweeps of Duke and Wake Forest. The rookie averaged 2.50 kills per set while posting a hitting percentage of .357 and averaged .833 blocks per set. An outstanding student, Emily was a member of the ACC All-Academic squad as well as making the ACC Honor Roll and the Athletic Director's Honor Roll.
Prep: Emily Scott, a 6-2 middle blocker from Appleton, Wisconsin played for Kimberly High School for Jeff Nieuwenhuis and played club ball for the Wisconsin Volleyball Academy for B.J. Bryant. At Kimberly, she was team captain for her team that qualified for State after winning regional and sectional championships. She earned first team all-conference honors and was named to the All-State honorable mention list as well as being named Team MVP. In 2017, she led team to conference championship, regional championship, sectional championship and a state appearance. She was named a Fox-Valley Sensational Six member. She was the Prep Digs Wisconsin’s No. 4 recruit on Top 5 List for 2018.
