Matt Canzonieri joined the UofL Sports Medicine Department in July of 2022. He currently serves as the Assistant Athletic Trainer with Men’s and Women’s Tennis. Prior to UofL, he completed Athletic Training internships at the Pennsylvania State University working with men’s and women’s tennis from 2021-2022 and Bryant University covering football and tennis from 2020-2021.
A 2019 graduate from the Ohio State University with a degree in Athletic Training, Canzonieri earned his MBA in Sport and Recreation from Salem University in 2020. At Salem, he served as the Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer with baseball and men’s water polo.
A native of East Hanover, NJ, Canzonieri is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association. Matt’s fun fact is that Kentucky is the fifth state he has lived in since graduating in 2019.
