As a redshirt senior (2017-18): Recorded a 3-2 singles record, registering a dual match victory in the Cardinals’ 7-0 shutout win over Wright State... Posted a 2-1 singles record with wins over players from Lander and Stetson in fall tournament action... Named to ACC Academic Honor Roll... Earned ITA Scholar-Athlete honors.
As a redshirt junior (2016-17): Registered a 10-7 singles record… Went 4-3 in doubles… Won the Louisville Fall Invitational ‘B’ singles title… Put together a five-match win streak in the fall… Named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll
As a redshirt sophomore (2015-16): Tallied eight singles wins over players from North Carolina, Radford, IUPUI, Lipscomb, Southern Miss and Tulane… Teamed with Michael Quang for two doubles victories… Posted a third-place finish at the CCB Collegiate Invitational… Named to the ACC honor roll… Named to the Athletic Director’s honor roll in the fall and spring.
As a redshirt freshman (2014-15): Posted a 9-10 overall singles record… Went 2-1 in dual matches playing at Nos. 5 and 6… Went 4-5 in doubles with a 3-1 tally with Pally Ray and a 1-1 record with Courtney Lock… Teamed with Christian Haushammer for a third place doubles finish in the White Division at the CCB Collegiate Invitational.
In 2014: Joined the Cardinals in the spring semester.
High School/Juniors: Named Evert Tennis Academy’s Most Improved Player in 2012… Earned the Evert Tennis Academy Leadership Award in 2013… Member of the student government… Named to the Colombian National Team (2012)… Reached the doubles finals of the ITF Quito Tenis y Golf Club Tournament. He also advanced to the semifinals of five tournaments including: the Peru Junior Open Regatas tournament , the El Sauce Cup, the Copa Ciudad de Bogota, the International Grass Court Championship and the TIHTA Tournament. Salazar was a quarterfinalist in the Bahia Juniors Cup, the V Copa Mangu, Copa Coqui, Tobago ITF, Copa Sultana-Mayaguez Tournaments and the Panama Bowl. In singles, he reached the finals of the Copa Coqui Tournament and was a semifinalist in the Tobago ITF Tournament.

Best athlete he’s faced was a top 500 professional Argentinian player, lost 7-6 in the third set, but it influenced him to work harder.
