- Louisville’s 73-66 victory over North Carolina is UofL’s sixth straight win over the Tar Heels.
- The series now tilts 6-3 in Louisville’s favor, with all six wins coming since Louisville joined the ACC in 2014.
- UNC’s last win over Louisville came in 2008 in the Sweet 16 of that year’s NCAA Tournament.
- The Cards entered the game ranked second in the ACC in scoring, averaging 85.7 points. With the win, Louisville has scored 70 or more in 12 of their 13 games.
- Five Cardinals scored in double-digits, only the second time this season Louisville achieved that feat.
- Behind junior Jazmine Jones and redshirt senior Arica Carter, Louisville shot 45 percent from the field. This drops UofL’s season field goal percentage to 49.9 percent, the first time they have dropped under 50 percent this year.
- Louisville’s stingy first half defense was one of the season’s best 20 minutes. The Cards held North Carolina to 23 points, tied for their second lowest allowed this season (UT Martin, 12/4/18).
- The Heels finished the game with 66 points, the ninth time Louisville held their opponent under 70 points.
- UofL logged four blocks versus UNC, their fifth time reaching that number this season. Their season high, six, came against UT Martin (12/4/18).
- The Cards snagged 45 rebounds against the Tar Heels, their fifth time grabbing at least 40 boards this year.
- Junior Jazmine Jones led the Cardinals in scoring for the first time this season with 17 points, tying a career-high. Her previous season-high was 14 points against Tennessee State (12/2/18).
- Adding to a career night, Jones recorded a season-high eight rebounds. Her three steals are the second-highest outing of the season.
- Redshirt senior Arica Carter finished with 14 points, her third-highest of the season.
- Carter knocked down three 3-pointers, her third time making at least three in a game this season (46 percent from deep).
- Junior Kylee Shook finished with 10 points and 11 rebounds, her second and the team’s fourth double-double this season.
- Shook now has double-digit rebounds in three of her last five games, averaging 8.0 during that time frame.
- Sophomore Dana Evans finished with 10 points, notching her fifth double-digit performance in the last six games. Since December, Evans is averaging 12.5 points per game.
- Senior Asia Durr dished out six assists, her second-highest amount on the season. She kicked her season average up to 3.7 per game.
- Durr’s 16-game streak (dating back to last season) of hitting at least one 3-pointer was snapped after going 0-for-7 against North Carolina.
