- Â Â Athletic Director's Honor Roll: 3.0 GPA or higher for the semester.
- Â Â Â Â Â Fall 2013: 371 of 599 student-athletes (371 is an all-time high)
- Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â 168 members of spirit groups, managers, trainers, and pep band
- Â Â Â Â Â Spring 2014: 340 of 533 student-athletes
- Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â 113 members of spirit groups, managers, trainers, and pep band
- Â Â Â Â Â Fall 2013: 371 of 599 student-athletes (371 is an all-time high)
- Â Â 269 student-athletes were named Red and Black Scholar Athletes (3.25 cumulative GPA or better). This is a record number. Another 118 members of the spirit groups, managers, trainers and pep band earned this honor as well.
- Â Â 15 of 19 teams had a 3.0 or higher in both the Fall 2013 and Spring 2014 semesters. This marks seven straight semesters the total semester GPA has been above a 3.0.
- Â Â 7 teams had record numbers on the Athletic Director's Honor Roll for a single semester including Baseball, Women's Golf, Rowing, Softball, Women's Track & Field, Lacrosse and Volleyball.
- Â Â U of L student-athletes achieved an 81 percent graduation rate in the Graduation Success Rate (GSR) Report. The Cardinals' GSR has risen 15 percent since the reporting began nine years ago. Six sports -- Women's Golf, Lacrosse, Women's Soccer, Softball, Men's Swimming & Diving, and Men's Tennis -- attained a 100 percent GSR in the most recent report.
- Â Â Over the last 10 years, graduation rates for U of L student-athletes have risen 13 percent, improving from 48 percent for the freshman class which entered U of L in 1997-98 to a 61 percent graduation rate in the most recent 2006-07 figures. U of L student-athletes graduate at a nine percent higher rate than the overall university student population in the 2006-07 four-class average.
- Â Â Louisville received an NCAA Public Recognition Award in 2013 for ranking among the top 10 percent in Men's Basketball in the Academic Progress Rate, which measures academic eligibility, retention and graduation for student-athletes.
- Â Â Nine teams posted a perfect score in the most recent single-year Academic Progress Rate (APR) data. The nine consist of Men's Basketball, Football, Men's Golf, Women's Golf, Lacrosse, Softball, Women's Soccer, Men's Tennis, and Volleyball.
- Â Â UofL's Men's Basketball and Women's Golf teams are among the top 10 percent in their respective sports in the latest multiyear APR, which measures academic eligibility, retention and graduation for student-athletes. Both sports have a perfect 1000 score for the four-year period from 2009-13.
- Â Â Twelve student-athletes were named Arthur Ashe, Jr. Sports Scholars: Antonita Slaughter, Jude Schimmel, Shawnta' Dyer, and Tia Gibbs (Women's Basketball); Agnes Chepchumba, Benadate Cheruiyot, Maria Frigo, and Andrew Stewart (Track & Field); Wayne Blackshear and Montrezl Harrell (Men's Basketball); Ade Akinsanya (Men's Soccer); Charlyn Corral (Women's Soccer).
- Â Â 248 Uof L student-athletes were named to the American Athletic Conference's All-Academic Team for the 2013-14 academic year. Louisville's total was the highest among all schools in the league.
- Â Â Seven UofL student-athletes were named American Athletic Conference Scholar-Athlete Sport Excellence Award winners for their respective sports: Russ Smith (Men's Basketball), Antonita Slaughter (Women's Basketball), Emily Juhl (Volleyball), Jeff Gardner (Baseball), Joachim Ball (Men's Soccer), Sebastian Steifelmeyer (Men's Tennis), Sam Bombaugh (Men's Outdoor Track & Field).
- Â Â Five programs earned American Athletic Conference Team Academic Excellence Awards including Men's Basketball, Women's Golf, Rowing, Men's Indoor Track & Field and Volleyball.
- Â Â Emily Juhl (Volleyball) and Sam Bombaugh (Men's Track & Field) were both awarded NCAA Postgraduate Scholarships.
- Â Â Emily Juhl (Volleyball) and Amelia Poteet (Lacrosse) were awarded Cardinal Postgraduate Scholarships.
- Â Â Grant Donovan (Football) and Hannah Kvitle (Volleyball) were named Outstanding Graduating Seniors at the Red and Black Honors Banquet.
- Â Â Men's Basketball member Wayne Blackshear was one of six student-athletes on the Capital One District 2 Academic All-District Men's Basketball first team.
- Â Â Women's Basketball member Antonita Slaughter was named the 2013-14 American Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
- Â Â Grant Donovan (Football) earned the 1A FAR Academic Excellence Award. This award honors students who graduate with a cumulative GPA of 3.80 or better.
-   Rowing had eleven members honored by the CRCA as scholar athletes, including Cynthia Doyle, Jami Montesano, Katie Nord, Kylen Pattermann, Hannah Ritter, Hanna Spittel, Elise Valantine, Amy Van Syoc, Kelsey Webb, Lucy Wilshier and Andrea Zorn.
- Â Â Lacrosse was recognized by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association as an IWLCA Division I All-Academic Squad.
- Â Â Lacrosse had five athletes named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Association's Academic Honor Roll: Nikki Boltja, Ashley Herbst, Monica Negron, Jamie Redding and Cat Gordon.
- Â Â Football had nineteen student-athletes named to the American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team.
- Â Â Women's Soccer member Charlyn Corral was named to the NSCAA Scholar All-America Second Team. Corral also was named to the NSCAA All-Northeast Region first team.
- Â Â Volleyball earned an American Volleyball Coaches Association Team (AVCA) Academic Award for the 2013-2014 season.
- Â Â Track & Field earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic honors. The women's team was tabbed a USTFCCCA All-Academic Team for the 10th straight year and the men's team earned the honor for the 2nd straight season. Individually, the women placed four student-athletes and the men placed three student-athletes on their respective men's and women's USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams.
- Â Â Men's Track & Field members Sam Bombaugh and Tyler Byrne earned Capital One Academic All-District II accolades.
- Â Â Men's Track & Field member Sam Bombaugh was named the American Athletic Conference Institutional Male Scholar-Athlete award recipient.
- Â Â Men's Cross Country member Tyler Byrne was named an U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic honoree.
- Â Â Swimming & Diving had eleven team members named 2014 College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Individual Scholar All-Americans. Six Cardinals received first team honors, while five received honorable mention accolades.
- Â Â Men's Tennis earned 2013-14 Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Academic Team honors while seven Cardinals were named ITA Scholar Athletes.
- Â Â Women's Tennis was honored by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, being named an ITA All-Academic Team for posting a team GPA of 3.2 or higher. The ITA also announced its 2014 All-Academic individuals, with Manuela Velasquez and Julia Fellerhoff making the list.
- Â Â Women's Golf members Emily Haas, Katie Petrino, Laura Restrepo and Louise Oxner were all named All-American Scholars by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA).
- Â Â Women's Golf member Emily Haas was named to the Capital One Academic All-District II First team.
- Â Â Women's Golf earned the highest GPA for the Fall 2013 and Spring 2014 semesters. This is the seventh semester in a row they have had the highest GPA.
- Â Â Softball was named one of the 2013 National Fastpitch Coaches Association Top All-Academic Teams. Chelsea Leonard, Chrisanna Roberts, Jordan Trimble, Taner Fowler and Brittany Sims also earned Scholar Athlete honors.
- Â Â Field Hockey was named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association National Academic Team Award list. The award recognizes those institutions that achieve a minimum GPA of 3.0 during the first semester of the 2013-14 academic year. Additionally, 13 players were named to the NFHCA National Academic squad which recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.30. Kelsey Rosenmeier earned the award for the fourth year in a row. Stephanie Byrne, Elisa Garcia, Lotta Kahlert, Becca Maddock Mallory Mason, Rachel McCarthy, Paige Monsen, Hailey Netherton, Jennifer Pels, Elina Pereira, Gianna Perrone and Shannon Sloss were also named to the squad.
