2016-17: Named to ACC Academic Honor Roll and All-ACC Academic Rowing Team … Received 2017 Scholar Award from Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association for second time in collegiate career … Rowed exclusively in the Cardinals’ varsity eight boat … V8+ crew finished fifth at the ACC Championship, helped scored Louisville a team victory at a double dual against Indiana and Kansas and took first place at the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational

2015-16: Named to All-ACC Academic Rowing Team, ACC Academic Honor Roll and was a CRCA Scholar Athlete… Closed the spring in the varsity eight boat for a fifth-place finish at the ACC Championship… Was also in the V8+ at Michigan, at the ACC/Big Ten Challenge and in a win at the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational… Competed in the second varsity eight boat at the Clemson Invitational.

2014-15: Closed freshman season in the second varsity eight boat in a second-place finish at the ACC Championship… Also rowed in the 2V8+ at Michigan and at Clemson Invitational… Made two appearances in the varsity eight boat at the Clemson Invitational… Also rowed in the V8+ at the Oregon State Classic, ACC/Big Ten Challenge and the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational.

Prior to UofL: Rowed for the Three Rivers Rowing Association… Was 2012 bronze medalist in the women’s pair at the Midwest Championship.

Personal: Born on May 17, 1996… Daughter of Joseph McGowan and Janine McGowan… Has two siblings, Chelsea and Rory… Majoring in exercise science… Post-college goal is attend graduate school and pursue a degree in the field of exercise science… Chose Louisville because the city and program offered her exactly what she was looking for and was a perfect fit.
