
Carver-Ritter, Leonard Named to CSC At-Large Academic All-District Team

AUSTIN, Texas – University of Louisville rowing student-athletes Claire Carver-Ritter and Kaylie Leonard have been named to the 2024-25 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic At-Large All-District® team as announced by the organization.

To be eligible, an undergraduate student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and carry at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average. The women's at-large team is comprised of student-athletes from beach volleyball, bowling, rowing, fencing, field hockey, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing and water polo.

Leonard earned All-ACC third team honors after helping the Cardinals' Varsity Eight boat to a second-place finish in the Petite Final in the ACC Championship. She also helped the V8 boat to a first-place finish at the 2025 SIRA Regatta and a third-place showing at the Sarasota 2K.

The senior from Clifton Park, N.Y., earned her bachelor's degree in exercise science in May 2025. She was a Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association National Scholar Athlete in 2024 and a two-time All-ACC Academic Team honoree.

Carver-Ritter (Asheville, N.C.) takes home her second straight CSC Academic All-District honor. The junior exercise science major carries a 4.0 GPA and is a two-time All-ACC Academic Team selection and was a Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association National Scholar Athlete in 2024.

The two-time team captain was a member of the Cardinals' Varsity Eight boat that placed second in the 2025 ACC Championship Petite final, first in the SIRA Championship Regatta and third in the Sarasota 2K.

The 2024 All-ACC second team honoree was named to the 2024 ACC Rowing Watchlist.
