2024-25 – Competed in the Music City Head Race and the Head of the Hooch in the fall as well as the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invite, the Sarasota 2K, SIRA Championship Regatta, Lake Wheeler Invitational and the ACC Championship in the spring… At the Music City Head Race, rowed at the No. 5 seat in the Varsity 8A boat which placed first and rowed at the No. 3 seat to help the Varsity 4A boat tie first place… At the Head of the Hooch, rowed at the No. 7 seat in the Varsity 8 boat that finished first with a time of 14:41.984 in an all-Louisville field and the No. 3 seat in the Varsity 4 boat that finished first out of eight… At the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invite, rowed in the No. 5 seat in the Varsity 8 boat to a third-place finish in its heat against Duke and Notre Dame on Saturday and rowed at the No. 5 seat to help the Varsity 8 boat to a third place finish in its heat against North Carolina and Alabama on Sunday… At the Sarasota 2K, rowed in the No. 6 seat in the Varsity 8 boat to a third place finish in its heat against and in the No. 6 seat in the Varsity 8 boat to a third-place showing… At the SIRA Championship Regatta, rowed at seat No.6 in the Varsity 8 Time Trial finishing in first place against competitors such as High Point, Vanderbilt, and Stetson and rowed in the Varsity 8 Semifinals and Finals at seat No.6 finishing first in both races with times of 6:43.004 and 6:56.871 respectively… At the Lake Wheeler Invitational, rowed in the No. 2 seat, helping the Varsity 8 boat to a third-place finish in its heat and a fourth-place showing in Friday’s second round… Helped the V8 to a time of 6:26.227 to finish fifth in Saturday’s third round at the Lake Wheeler Invitational… At the ACC Championship, rowed at the No. 4 seat to help the Varsity 8 boat to a second-place finish in the Petite Final… On Friday, the Varsity Eight crew raced to a time of 6:28.729 to finish fourth in its heat, less than a second behind No. 22 Clemson (6:28.339) and ahead of SMU and Notre Dame… In Saturday’s Petite Final, the V8 clocked in at 6:21.818, just over two seconds behind first-place No. 24 North Carolina and ahead of Miami, SMU, Notre Dame and Boston College… Named to the ACC All-Academic Team and Academic Honor Roll and College Sport Communicators Academic All-District Team.
2023-34: All ACC Second Team Selection… Named to 2024 ACC Rowing Watchlist… At Alabama Head of the Black Warrior River, rowed with the V4 boat that finished first with a time of 18:27.6 in the 16-boat field which also included Miami and Alabama… Helped the V8 boat to an eight-place finish (13:44.9) at the Rivanna Romp and the V4 to an 18th-place showing (15:37.4)… At the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational, aboard the V8 boat that finished third in Friday’s morning session with a time of 6:40.480 and second with a time of 6:36.331 in the evening… On Sunday, helped the V8 boat to a first place finish at the ORCI, clocking in at 6:38.632… At the Sunshine State Invitational, on the V8 boat that finished fourth on Saturday and first in the Petite Final on Sunday… At the SIRA Championship, helped the V8 boat to a first place finish in Saturday’s semifinal (6:39.977) and finished first in Sunday’s ‘A’ final with a time of 6:38.351… At the Lake Wheeler Invitational, rowed with the V8 boat that placed fourth in its heat the morning session (6:56.079) and afternoon session (7:10.377); on Sunday, the V8 boat that placed first in its heat with a time of 6:48.945… At ACC Rowing Championship – Helped the V8 boat to a third place showing in the petite finals with a time of 6:35.638… CRCA National Scholar Athlete… Named to ACC All-Academic Team and Academic Honor Roll… College Sport Communicators Academic All-District selection.
2022-23: At Rivanna Romp, she rowed the Varsity 8 boat that turned in a time of 13:37.9 for seventh in the 20-boat field. She also was in the V4 boat that finished fifth with a time of 14:49.5 in a tightly-bunched top five at the Rivanna Romp. On Saturday morning at the ORCI, she rowed in the V8 boat that turned in a time of 6:28.656 and third place. In the Saturday afternoon session, she was on the V8 boat that finished third with a time of 6:28.010. In the Sunday session at ORCI, she rowed the V8 boat that finished third, clocking in at 6:38.907. At the Sunshine State Invitational, she rowed in the V8 boat with a second-place finish with a time of 6:37.20. In the grand final of the Sunshine State Invitational, she rowed in the V8 boat to a fourth-place finish with a time of 6:35.53. Against Michigan in a head-to-head matchup, Claire was in the V8 boat to a second place finish with a time of 6:40.08. In the prelims of the V8 race at the ACC Championships in Raleigh, she rowed the Cardinals to a fourth-place finish to advance to the petite final with a time of 6:45.634. She was in the V8 boat that won the petite finals of the ACC Championship with a time of 6:43.228. She was named to the 2023 All-ACC Academic Team.
Prep: Claire began rowing for Asheville Youth Rowing Association in her hometown of Asheville, N.C. five years ago. During that time, her boat placed 13th at 2021 Youth Nationals and 16th at 2022 Youth Nationals in the 4+. She also helped her boat place 1st at 2021 Summer Nationals in the U23 4x and 6th in the U23 2x in 2022.
