Cardinals Complete First Day at ACC Rowing Championship

All five of Louisville’s boats will advance to Saturday’s Petite Finals
RALEIGH, N.C. – University of Louisville rowing finished the first day of the ACC Rowing Championship on Friday morning. All five of the Cardinals' boats will advance to the Petite Finals on Saturday morning beginning at 8:05 a.m. ET.
Louisville's best finish of the day came out of the 3V8 race where the Cardinals turned in a time of 6:51.480 to place fourth in their heat. The crew finished six seconds ahead of a No. 13 Duke boat.
The 3V8 is led by coxswain Madelyn Pleune in addition to Alana Cureton, Graycen West, Kate Eisenbeis, Stella Scott, Stella Mancini, Addison Sorrell, Bria Ragauckas and Rhiannon Hockey.
The Cardinals' Varsity 8 placed fifth in its heat after posting a 6:29.850 on the board and finishing ahead of Notre Dame.
UofL's 2V8, V4 and 2V4 each finished sixth in their respective races and heats and will advance to the Petite Finals.
Louisville will begin finals action on Saturday morning at 8:05 with the 3V8 boat. The 2V4 will follow at 8:30 and the Varsity 4 boat will take off at 8:55. The 2V8 will race at 9:20 before the Varsity 8 completes the championship competition for the Cards at 9:45.
