Louisville Heads to ACC Rowing Championship

The Cardinals return to Lake Wheeler for the league championship Friday & Saturday
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville rowing is slated for the ACC Rowing Championship at Lake Wheeler in Raleigh, N.C. beginning on Friday.

Participating Teams: No. 3 Stanford, No. 6 California, No. 8 Virginia, No. 10 Syracuse, No. 13 Duke, No. 14 Miami, No. 23 North Carolina, Clemson, SMU, Louisville, Notre Dame, Boston College

Louisville is one of 12 ACC teams competing in the championship. The field includes seven ranked teams. The Cardinals are seeded 10th in the Varsity 8 and Second Varsity 4 races and 11th in the Second Varsity 8, Third Varsity 8 and Varsity 4.
The Cards will begin action on Friday with the 3V8 at 8:15 a.m. ET followed by the V8 at 8:40. The 2V8 will hit the water at 9:05 with the V4 racing at 9:30 followed by the 2V4 wrapping up action for the day at 9:55.
There are two heats of each race and the top three in each heat will advance to the Grand Final of the race on Saturday with places four through six competing in the Petite Final.
Louisville recently raced in the Lake Wheeler Invitational over the last weekend in April. The Cards finished eighth out of 20 teams in the highly competitive field.
At the 2025 ACC Rowing Championship in Clemson, S.C., UofL placed 10th, totaling 39 points.
