2024-25: Competed in the Music City Head Race and the Head of Hooch in the fall along with the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invite, Sarasota 2K, SIRA Championship Regatta, Lake Wheeler Invitational and the ACC Championship in the spring season… At the Music City Head Race, rowed at the No. 5 seat in the Varsity 8B boat that finished third and at the No. 1 seat to help Varsity 4D boat to a fifth place finish (out of 20 boats)… At the Head of the Hooch, rowed at the No. 6 seat in the Varsity 8B boat that placed second in in the Women’s Championship 8+ race… Rowed at the No. 2 seat in the Varsity 4D boat that finished third in a field of eight in the Women’s Championship 4+ race… At the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invite, rowed at the No. 3 seat in the 3V8 boat to a third place finish in its heat and at the No. 5 seat in the 3V8 boat that placed third on Sunday… In the Sarasota 2K, rowed at the No. 3 seat in the SV4 boat to a third place finish in its heat against Miami, Kansas, Michigan State, Alabama B on Friday and in the No. 3 seat in the SV4 boat to a third place finish against Alabama A, Tulsa, Boston College, Kansas, and UMass on Saturday… At the SIRA Championship Regatta, rowed at the No.2 seat for the Varsity 4 boat that finished second in its time trial, then took first place in their semifinal with against Highpoint, Rollins and Stetson...Rowed in seat No.2 for the Varsity 4 boat in the 4A Final on Saturday, coming in second place… At the Lake Wheeler Invitational, rowed at the No. 2 seat, helping the Varsity 4 boat to a fourth-place finish in its heat and another fourth-place showing in Friday’s second round… Helped the Varsity 4 to a time of 7:37.481 to finish fifth in Saturday’s third round at Lake Wheeler… At the ACC Championship, rowed at the No. 6 seat, helping the 2V8 boat place third in the Petite Final with a time of 6:31.850, good for a third-place finish after being edged by Clemson (6:31.234) and finishing 1.413 seconds behind Notre Dame which won with a time of 6:30.437… On the first day of the championship, the 2V8 crew placed fifth in its heat with a time of 6:43.286… Named to the All-ACC Academic Rowing Team and the ACC Academic Honor Roll.
2023-24: At the Alabama Head of the Black Warrior River aboard the 2V4 boat that finished fifth with a time of 18:46.7… At the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational, helped the 2V8 boat to a third place finish with a time of 6:51.897 in the morning session and place third in the evening session (6:56.14); also finished third with a time of 6:49.602 on the final day of the ORCI… At the Sunshine State Invitational on the 2V8 boat that finished fifth with a time of 7:12.10 to reach the grand final where they placed eighth (6:52.24)… At the SIRA Championship, on the 2V8 boat that finished in first place in its semifinal with a time of 6:56.911 and won the ‘A’ final with a time of 6:48.097… At the Lake Wheeler Invitational aboard the 2V8 boat that finished third in the morning heat, clocking in at 7:07.338 – under a second behind second place Iowa - and placed fourth in the afternoon heat (7:23.554); also finished placed second in its heat with a time of 6:53.938 on Saturday at Lake Wheeler… At the ACC Rowing Championship, helped the 2V8 boat to a sixth-place showing in the grand final with a time of 6:41.380… Named to ACC All-Academic Team and Academic Honor Roll
Prep: Hails from Jacksonville, Florida where she rowed for the Episcopal School of Jacksonville Rowing team for six years. Since joining the Varsity team in eighth grade, she has won six Scholastic State Championships for sweep and sculling and medaled seven times at states over the years. In eighth grade she placed second at States in the Junior 8+. Her freshman year she raced in the 1V4 at the Head of the Charles. Her sophomore year she placed third at Sculling States in the 2x, second in the 4+ at Sweep States, and placed fifth at Scholastic Nationals in the 2x. As a senior she was placed third at Sculling States in the 1x, third at Sweep States in the 4+, and was named Team Captain, MVP, as well as Best Athlete in a Single Sport for her school.
Personal: Born on December 10. From Jacksonville, Fla. Parents are Mary and Jonathan Hicks and has a sister, Sarah. Major is education.
