LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville track & field teams continued competition at the Jim Freeman/Clark Wood Invitational on Friday, winning three events on the second day of the meet.

The senior began her afternoon with a long jump mark of 6.53m (21-5.25) (+3.1) that was just off her season-best of 6.61m (21-8.25) (+3.0) from the Bobcat Invitational on Apr. 3 that currently ranks fourth in the NCAA. She then doubled back later in the day in the 200m, blazing to a personal-best time of 23.43 that moves her all the way up to second in program history.
The Cardinals saw a trio of solid performances in the shot put ring on Friday, led by Kaia Tupu-South's mark of 17.47m (57-3.75) that resulted in an overall runner-up finish in the women's invitational shot put, where she finished as the top collegian.
Johnny Sabinski claimed the top spot in the men's shot put with a personal-best mark of 17.09m (56-1), and Aja Johnson followed suit in the women's open shot put by recording a personal record of her own with a toss of 14.66m (48-1.25).
After vaulting up to third in program history in the women's 400m last weekend with a freshman-record time of 54.04, Breanna Braham moved up to fifth in the Louisville record books in the women's 200m on Friday, finishing in a time of 23.99.
