Cardinals Set to Host Southern Indiana

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville women's tennis team returns to play on Sunday at 12 p.m., inside the Bass Rudd Tennis Center when they face off with the Southern Indiana Screaming Eagles.

The last time the Cards were in action, it was a two-win weekend that saw them sweep both Northern Kentucky University and Eastern Kentucky University. UofL has experienced a strong start so far, boasting an unblemished 4-0 team record. The Cardinals' roster has a combined singles record of 17-1, highlighted by Germany Davis, Berta Miret, Elena Noguero and Alice Otis, all sporting 3-0 records. The doubles tandems of Alice Otis & Lika Peresypkina, and Berta Miret & Elena Noguero, also bolster 3-0 records.

Last time out for Southern Indiana, they were bested at home, falling to Murray State 5-2 . The Screaming Eagles come into the contest with a 0-2 record, their other loss coming in a 7-0 sweep at the hands of Austin Peay. Southern Indiana finished last season with a 1-14 overall record.
