Thomis Misses Records; Tied for First Heading into Final Round

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Warren Thomis of the University of Louisville men's golf team shot a second round 67 to lead the Cardinals into second place at the Blessings Collegiate Invitational on Tuesday.

The Cardinals head into the final round just one shot behind Arkansas for the tournament title. UofL enters the final day at 13-over-par just one shot behind tje Hogs, who are at 12-over-par.

Thomis recorded five-straight birdies to conclude the second round of action with a 67. He enters Wednesday's final round tied with BYU's Simon Kwon for the tournament lead at even-par.

Cooper Claycomb is tied for third place and just one shot back after Tuesday's round of 73. He's in a three-way tie for third place heading into the final 18 holes.

Easton Johnson is tied for 18th at 5-over-par and Brady Smith is tied for 22nd at 7-over-par.

Andrew Tan rounds out the top five in 43rd place at 14-over-par.

The Cards will get the final round underway at 12 p.m. on Wednesday.
