Cards Earn NABC Team Academic Excellence Award

Eight Cardinals were also named to the NABC Honors Court for their individual academic excellence
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The University of Louisville men's basketball program was recognized Thursday with the Team Academic Excellence Award, as presented by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).

In addition to the team award, Louisville had eight Cardinals named to the NABC Honors Court for their individual excellence in the classroom. Aboubacar Traore, Aidan McCool, Aly Khalifa, Cole Sherman, Frank Anselem-Ibe, Kobe Rodgers, Noah Waterman and Patrick Antonelli were each recognized for the honor.Â

The NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards recognize programs that completed the 2024-25 academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. The NABC Honors Court, meanwhile, includes junior, senior and graduate student men's basketball players who finished the 2024-25 year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.

Louisville has attained a 3.0 GPA or better as a program in 28 of the last 34 semesters. Louisville posted a cumulative 3.18 GPA team GPA for the 2024-25 academic year.
