
Bianco and Plumb Named to CSC At-Large Academic All-District Team

AUSTIN, Texas – University of Louisville field hockey student-athletes Izzy Bianco and Aimee Plumb have been named to the 2024-25 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic At-Large All-District® Team as announced by the organization.

To be eligible, an undergraduate student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and carry at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average. The women's at-large team is comprised of student-athletes from beach volleyball, bowling, rowing, fencing, field hockey, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing and water polo.

Bianco, a sport administration major from Berlin, N.J., makes her first appearance on the CSC Academic All-District team. She was named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association All-West region nod after finishing the season ranked second on the team with five goals, three assists and 13 points – all career highs.

The midfielder and team co-captain also helped the USWNT to a Silver Medal in the 2024Â Junior Pan American Championship. She has been a member of USA Field Hockey Under-21 team since 2023.

A member of UofL's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, Bianco was also recognized as one of Louisville's ACC Top 6 for Service in 2025, standing among the Cardinals leaders in community service.

This marks the fourth straight CSC Academic All-District nod for Plumb. The fifth-year senior midfielder from Canterbury Kent, England earned her bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in art, graduating with a 4.0 GPA in May 2025.

The team co-captain completed her playing career as a three-time All-America selection (2021, 2022, 2025) after previously taking home the honor in 2021 and 2022. She is also a five-time NFHCA All-West Region team selection and earned a trio of all-ACC honor.
In 2024, Plumb scored four goals and dished out four assists for 12 points on the season as she climbed the school record book. She finished her career ranked seventh on the program's all-time list for points (86) and goals (30) and ninth in career assists (26).
