June 15, 2025 | Track & Field
The Louisville women placed 17th in the team standings with a total of 17 points.
EUGENE, Ore. – The University of Louisville women's track & field team posted their best finish in the overall team standings at the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships in program history as they closed the book on the 2025 outdoor season on Saturday.
Over the course of the competition, the Cards amassed a total of 17 points to finish 17th in the team race to cap off a historic outdoor season for the Louisville women that also saw them record their best team finish at the ACC Outdoor Championships.
Additionally, the Louisville men and women combined for nine athletes that earned All-American distinction by finishing in the top 16 at the national championship meet, the most in program history by far.
On Saturday, the Cards were well-represented in the women's discus throw, as Jayden Ulrich and Jade Whitfield both earned All-American distinction in the event, with Ulrich being named to the First Team and Whitfield earning a spot on the second team.
Ulrich placed seventh with a final mark of 60.25m (197-8) to close her illustrious collegiate career, marking the seventh All-American honor of her career after also finishing fourth in the women's shot put on Thursday night.
The senior will leave UofL as the most accomplished athlete in program history despite only competing in the Louisville uniform for two seasons, during which time she earned six All-American honors, won six ACC titles, set three program records, became the first Cardinal to be added to a watch list for The Bowerman, and earned a spot on Team USA for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Along with Ulrich's podium finish, Whitfield put a bow on her collegiate career with a toss of 55.25m (181-3), good for a 15th-place finish and her second All-American honor.
In her NCAA Championships debut, Sharvari Parulekar became the first All-American in the women's triple jump in program history, earning Second Team distinction after bounding to a wind-aided final mark of 13.01m (42-8.25) (+2.7).
Lucy Fellows also finished out her debut at the national championship meet in the women's heptathlon, placing 17th with 5,557 points to be tabbed an Honorable Mention All-American.
Over the final three events of the competition in Eugene, Fellows posted a mark of 5.61m (18-5), a toss of 38.92m (127-8) in the javelin throw, and an 800m time of 2:22.25 to end a sophomore season that saw her record the top three heptathlon point totals in school history.
