The four-day meet will take place from May 28-31 in Jacksonville, Fla. as one of two qualifying meets for the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville track & field teams are set to continue their postseason at the 2025 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field East Preliminary Round from May 28-31 in Jacksonville, Fla.
The Cards will be represented by 17 student-athletes in 14 events at the regional meet, which serves as one of two qualifying meets for the 2025 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships that will take place from Jun. 11-14 in Eugene, Ore.
Men's events will take place on Wednesday and Friday, with the women's events set for Thursday and Saturday. The full competition schedule for Louisville athletes on each of the four days of competition can be found below.
Portions of the meet from each of the four days of competition will be streamed live on ESPN+. The streaming schedule can be found below.
The field in Jacksonville will include athletes with the top-48 marks in each respective event among schools in the East Region, following injury or withdrawal, with the only exceptions being the top-24 times for relays and direct qualification to the national championship meet for the top-24 marks nationally in both the decathlon and heptathlon.
The top-12 event finishers from each region at the preliminary meets will advance to the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene.
The Cards will look to improve on last season's showing at the NCAA East Regional, where the squads combined to punch seven tickets to the national championship meet. A trio of Louisville athletes have already clinched berths to the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the multi events, with Paul Kallenberg and KJ Byrd set to contest the men's decathlon and Lucy Fellows slated to compete in the women's heptathlon.
