Mayew and Avendaño earn doubles victory in 4-0 loss
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Louisville men's tennis team dropped a conference match to No. 33 Miami by a score of 4-0 at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center.

Doubles play was highly competitive as the point came down to a decisive battle on Court 1. Court 2 was the first to finish as the Miami tandem took down No. 77 Hamza El Amine and Natan Rodrgiues 6-3. Will Mayew and Miguel Avendaño then quickly secured a 6-3 win on Court 3 to tie the competition, but the Hurricanes' No. 72 duo of Martin Katz and Antonio Prat rallied back to claim Court 1 and clinch the doubles point by a score of 7-5.
No. 33 Miami was strong out of the gate in singles competition taking Louisville's three, one then five courts to swiftly secure a 4-0 team victory.
UofL's No. 80 Will Mayew was leading Prat 6-4, 4-2 on Court 2, but the match was abandoned after the Hurricanes clinched the win.
Louisville (9-16, 1-10 ACC) will play its final road match of the season with a match against No. 19 Florida State on Saturday with a first serve scheduled for 1 p.m. ET.
