Cards Hit the Road For Final Time This Season

Louisville players enter the ITA singles and doubles polls for the first time in 2025
LOUISVILLE, KY. - The University of Louisville men's tennis team is traveling to Florida for its final road trip of the regular season. The Cards will face No. 33 Miami on Thursday at noon and No. 19 Florida State Saturday at 1 p.m. ET.Â
Louisville (9-15, 1-9 ACC) went 2-1 over the weekend and earned its first ACC win and ranked win of the season after defeating previous No. 73 Virginia Tech 4-0 on Friday.Â
The Cards had players enter the ITA singles and doubles polls for the first time in 2025 with both cracking the top 100.
Junior Will Mayew leads the way in singles, coming in at No. 80 with a 13-4 record when playing solo. He has won five out of his last six individual matches with all of the victories being won in straight sets.Â
The duo of Hamza El Amine and Natan Rodrigues were placed at No. 77 in the recent doubles poll after earning a ranked win over the former No. 3 duo. They have won their last three contests out of four including a win on the top court on Sunday evening against Tennessee State.Â
Cards vs. No. 33 Miami (11-8, 4-6 ACC)

Scouting the Hurricanes: Miami dropped to No. 33 in the most recent ITA team poll after taking two losses over the weekend, falling 4-3 to both No. 13 Duke and No. 55 North Carolina. The Hurricanes have the No. 24-ranked singles player in Martin Katz and the No. 72-ranked duo of Katz and Antonio Prat.
