LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville track & field teams closed the second of three days of competition at the Jim Freeman/Clark Wood Invitational on a windy Saturday at Cardinal Park, picking up five event victories and seeing a meet and facility record in the women's discus throw from Jayden Ulrich.
Despire swirling winds, Ulrich recorded the best mark in the invitational section of the women's discus throw with a toss of 61.58m (202-0) to crush her own meet and facility record of 60.43m (198-3) that she set at the 2024 Clark Wood Invitational. Along with Ulrich's record-breaking mark, Jade Whitfield made herself at home with a mark of 56.16m (184-3) to finish second.
After setting a program record to win the women's 200m yesterday, Kiyah Yeast doubled back to claim the top spot in the women's 100m, cruising to a wind-aided time of 11.16 that stands as the second-fastest all conditions time in the ACC thus far this season.
