Louisville Jumpers Dominate Final Afternoon of Bryan Clay Invitational

Synclair Savage took the top spot in the women’s long jump with a season-best leap of 6.43m (21-1.25).
AZUSA, Calif. – The University of Louisville track & field teams continued their split weekend in California on Friday at the Bryan Clay Invitational, as the Louisville jumpers combined for seven top-five individual finishes.
Synclair Savage picked up her second event victory of the season in the women's long jump, recording a season-best mark of 6.43m (21-1.25) to get the win while Sophia Day placed sixth with a leap of 6.02m (19-9).
In the women's triple jump, Sharvari Parulekar rounded out the top three after recording a mark of 12.60m (41-4.25) while Day doubled back with a mark of 12.21m (40-0.75) to earn a fourth-place finish.
The Cardinals took three of the top four spots in the men's triple jump, led by Roman Kuleshov's mark of 15.35m (50-4.5) to finish as the runner-up. Jamaur Williamson placed third with a personal-best mark of 15.27m (50-1.25), and Miller Jones leapt 15.02m (49-3.5) to finish fourth.
Josh Moore rounded out the day for the Cardinals with a fourth-place finish in the men's high jump after posting a clearance of 2.01m (6-7), just one day after finishing with a final bar of 2.02m (6-7.5) at the Pacific Coast Invitational.
The Bryan Clay Invitational will continue into late Friday night with the invitational sections of the 1500m, while the Cardinals will conclude their split weekend in California on Saturday when the Louisville sprinters take part in the Beach Invitational.
