Cards Close First Day at Bryan Clay Invitational

The Cards posted three personal-best marks on the first of three days of competition.
AZUSA, Calif. – The University of Louisville track & field teams closed out the first of three days of competition at the Bryan Clay Invitational, seeing three athletes record personal-best times.
Haley Meade began the day in the B section of the women's 10000m, clocking a time of 36:07.20 to knock nearly a minute off her previous personal record from her freshman season.
In the B section of the men's 10000m, Ethan Meyer opened up his outdoor season with a massive personal-best time of 30:20.74 while Jack Stansell posted a time of 30:49.19.
Spenser Wolf closed out the day for the Cardinals in the men's 3000m steeplechase, setting a new personal record with a time of 9:11.75 that currently ranks the redshirt sophomore 10th in the event in program history.
Action at the Bryan Clay Invitational will continue into the evening with the invitational sections of the 3000m steeplechase and 10000m, while the Pacific Coast Invitational in Long Beach, Calif. will begin competition tomorrow morning with the Cards scheduled to participate in the men's long jump, women's high jump and men's high jump on Thursday.
