Jayden Ulrich Named ACC Women’s Field Athlete of the Week
March 25, 2025 | Track & Field
Ulrich moved to fifth in NCAA history and eighth in American history in the women’s discus throw last weekend at the USF Alumni Invitational.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – University of Louisville track & field senior Jayden Ulrich has been named the ACC Women's Field Athlete of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.
After concluding the 2025 indoor season with a First Team All-American showing in the women's shot put and USTFCCCA Southeast Region Women's Field Athlete of the Year honors, Ulrich opened her outdoor season at the USF Alumni Invitational, where she won the women's discus throw with an NCAA-leading mark of 66.14m (217-0).
The toss moves the senior up to fifth in collegiate history and eighth in American history, while also shattering her own Louisville program record of 64.29m (210-11) that she set last April at the Pacific Coast Invitational. Additionally, Ulrich now owns the top 10 individual throws in the discus in Louisville history.
The award marks the second time she has won an ACC outdoor weekly award in her career after also being tabbed the ACC Women's Field Athlete of the Week on April 16, 2024.
The Cardinals will return to action this weekend while splitting between a pair of meets in Texas, with the squad set to be represented at the Texas Relays in Austin and the Bobcat Invitational in San Marcos from Mar. 27-29.
