Shough, Cards Work Through 2025 Pro Day

A total of 21 former players worked out for scouts and key team personnel, going through combine-like testing workouts and individual drills to help improve their possible draft status for the upcoming 2025 draft.
Quarterback Tyler Shough, defensive tackle Ashton Gillotte and cornerback Quincy Riley highlighted the group that could possibly hear their names selected in next month's NFL draft.
Shough, who has improved his stock to a possible first day selection, tossed 61 passes to his former receivers and tight ends, and ialso ncluded some of Louisville's rising seniors in Caullin Lacy and Chris Bell.
Shough was accurate and confident in his throws on Tuesday, which put a smile on head coach Jeff Brohm's face after watching today's events.
"I do think he had a great day and people can see he can really throw the football," Brohm said. "Sometimes when you can see a quarterback live, it makes a difference. I think Tyler did what he needed to do to show them everything that he can do with the football."
Shough, who came to Louisville for just one season, flourished in Brohm's NFL-style offense, throwing for 3,195 yards and 23 touchdowns in a full season. On Tuesday, Shough put his talents on display and was thrilled with his outcome.
"It felt really good," Shough said. "I thought I had a really good day. Had one slip of the ball, but that was about it. It felt good.
"I think it's a big day for everybody, obviously this is our Pro Day. This is our opportunity to showcase what we can do. I got really luck to get the opportunity to participate in the Senior Bowl and the Combine. My whole goal is anytime, anywhere anybody can come watch me and work out. Hopefully, the scouts are seeing what I can do."
Gillotte also had a hair-raising performance since returning from the combine. The 6-foot-2, 265-pound defensive lineman ran an impressive 4.65 40-yard dash which should help him as he looks to go toward the top of the draft.
"Obviously, I thought it went well," Gillotte said. "I hit my numbers and I've been working hard in this process. It felt good to get this weight off my shoulders and exceed some of my expectations. It's stressful for sure, but I've dealt with nerves for a long time and I just have to keep working."
