Cards Showcase Their Abilities at Pro Day

"This is a great opportunity for our players to showcase their talents," head coach Jeff Brohm said. "They have put so much time and work in that this is their opportunity to get to the next level,"
One player on display was quarterback Miller Moss, who threw for 2,700 yards and 18 touchdowns in 12 games as a starter. In front of representatives for over 30 teams, Moss was accurate and showed the ability to throw the football down the field.
"I think he can throw a good football," Brohm said. "He's played a lot of games and is ultimately very battle tested."
Moss also was pleased with his ability to showcase his talents and throwing ability this afternoon, He went through a sequence of short and intermediate throws, while also hitting receivers with deep throws down the middle of the field and along the sidelines.
"Yeah, I felt like it went really well," Moss said. I'm super grateful for the guys, obviously the draft eligible guys, like Dacari Collins and Caullin Lacy and then the underclassmen for also helping us out. I think they did a phenomenal job and I give them a ton of credit in terms of the work we put and what went into that. I thought it went really well. I had one that was a little far for Caullin, but besides that, I thought it was thought it was pretty on point."
Wide receiver Chris Bell would have been the focal point of Pro Day but the talented senior tore his ACL in a loss to SMU. The 6-foot-3 wide receiver is considered a top round draft pick but was limited to just interviews during the NFL Combine and at today's Pro Day.
"When I uh first got injured, it was hard for me," Bell said. "I got injured my second to the last game. I was so ready for this process and stuff like that. I was kind of looking forward to this process so fast and God just stopped me in my tracks. But it was hard at first after I came out of surgery and not been able to move around how I wanted to and have that big brace on me and stuff like that. It was it was tough, but I kept my families and friends around me to keep me confident and comfortable,"
