Eleven Cardinals Named NFHCA Scholars of Distinction

Cards place a program-high 11 student-athletes on the NFHCA Scholar of Distinction list
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville field hockey team adds to its collection of national academic honors with a program-high 11 student-athletes named National Field Hockey Coaches Association Scholars of Distinction.
The Cardinals tied for second nationally for the most student-athletes on the list. Monmouth University paced the pack, landing 12 student-athletes on the list, while Michigan State University and University of Louisville each placed 11.

The Scholar of Distinction program acknowledges exceptional undergraduate student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.9 or higher through the fall semester.

Aimee Plumb earned the honor for the fifth straight year and Filippa Niebuhr takes home her fourth Scholar of Distinction award. They are joined by Izzy Bianco, Alessia Cicuto, Amanda Condon, Emily Eaton, Sana Halthore, Trijntje Herfkens, Caroline Pusey, Mary Wordelmann and Emily Young.
