No. 22/21 Louisville Welcomes New Hampshire on Sunday

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The No. 22/21 Louisville women's basketball team (7-3, 1-0 ACC) is back in action for a Sunday matinee matchup with New Hampshire on December 7 at the KFC Yum! Center. The Cards and Wildcats will square off at 12 p.m. ET and it will be streamed on the ACC Network Extra.
The Cards have been at home a lot over the early portion of the schedule. This is Louisville's eighth home game over their first 11 games. They have played nine games in the city of Louisville after playing at Knights Hall on Bellarmine's campus last weekend. Sunday's matchup with the Wildcats is the sixth game of their last seven played at the Yum Center. The Cardinals are 5-0 at home this season against unranked opponents.
Reyna Scott has been playing some of her best basketball over the past week for the Cardinals. Coming off of the bench, she has scored in double figures in back-to-back games while shooting 11-for-21 (52.4%) from the floor over the two games. She scored 13 points against Bellarmine and then tied a career high with 15 points against No. 3 South Carolina. She set a career high with 37 minutes played against the Gamecocks.
Elif Istanbulluoglu has also come up big for the Cardinals over the past few weeks. She has scored in double figures in four of her last six games. In her last game against No. 3 South Carolina, she tied a career high with 15 points and led the team with nine rebounds. She has scored 15 points in two of her last three games.
Tajianna Roberts had led the way offensively for the Cardinals this season with a team-best 14.0 points per game. She has scored in double figures eight times in the last nine games. She has scored 20-plus points three times this season and two of those have come against Top 20 opponents.

New Hampshire comes into the Sunday's matchup with a 3-6 record and are coming off a 65-61 win over Merrimack this past Friday. The Wildcats have played ACC foe Boston College this season and fell 69-57 on Nov. 6. New Hampshire is 0-6 in road games this season. Junior guard Eva DeChent was named to the America East Preseason All-Conference Team prior to the season. Last year, she was the conference scoring champion and was named 2025 America East Newcomer of the Year.
Series History - This will be the third meeting between the two schools and the first meeting since Dec. 22, 2009. The Cardinals are 2-0 all-time in the series history with an 82-40 win in Freedom Hall on Dec. 30, 2008 and then a 76-67 win in Durham, N.H. in 2009.
Last Meeting (Dec. 22, 2009) - Louisville (7-5) came from behind to defeat New Hampshire (4-6) 76-67 Tuesday evening in Lundholm Gymnasium. Monique Reid led three Cardinals in double figures with 16 points. Becky Burke added 14 points and Ashley Rainey finished with 10 points. New Hampshire had two players with 18 points apiece. Reid converted a three point play on the next possession and Harper and Burton hit back-to-back 3-pointers to give Louisville their first lead of the game since the 17 minute mark in the first half at 63-62. New Hampshire took the lead on the next possession but a layup by Gwen Rucker tied the game with 5:17 remaining. Burton grabbed a defensive rebound on the next possession and Keshia Hines scored on a layup to put the Cardinals ahead 67-65 with 3:32 left. Candace Williams hit two free throws to tie the game at 67 with 2:28 remaining. Harper nailed a 3-pointer on the next possession at 2:09 to spark a 9-0 run for the Cardinals, sealing the road win.
