
Louisville Softball Announces 2026 Slate

Louisville will face 10 teams that appeared in the 2025 NCAA Tournament.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The University of Louisville softball program has announced its 2026 schedule, which features 22 home games at Ulmer Stadium, five tournaments, and a competitive Atlantic Coast Conference slate that includes multiple postseason opponents. The Cardinals will face 10 teams that appeared in the 2025 NCAA Tournament.
Louisville opens the season with three straight tournament weekends on the road, beginning Feb. 6–8 at the FIU Tournament in Miami with matchups against Stony Brook, FIU, Texas A&M–Corpus Christi, and Lehigh. The Cards then head to the South Carolina Tournament (Feb. 13–15), followed by the FGCU Tournament (Feb. 20–22), taking on a mix of Power Five and regional opponents throughout the first month.
The Cards make their home debut on Feb. 24 against Bellarmine before hosting ACC foe Stanford for a three-game conference series from Feb. 27–March 1. Louisville remains home to face Northern Kentucky on March 3 before hosting the Cardinal Classic (March 6–8) with Long Island, Ball State, and Illinois. Evansville visits for a midweek matchup on March 10, concluding the 11-game home stretch.
ACC play continues on the road at Clemson (March 13–15), followed by a trip to WKU (March 18) and the Ohio State Tournament (March 20–22) in Columbus, Ohio. Louisville travels to Kentucky on March 25 for the first of two games in the Battle of the Bluegrass, before returning home to host Georgia Tech in an ACC series from March 27–29.
The Cards embark on one of their longest road trips in recent history when they visit Cal for a three-game ACC series over Easter weekend (April 2–4). Louisville remains on the road the following weekend with a conference matchup at Notre Dame (April 10–12) before returning home to face Indiana in midweek action on April 15.
Louisville then hosts back-to-back ACC home weekends against Pitt (April 17–19) and Syracuse (April 24–26), with Senior Weekend set for the Syracuse series. Louisville will also host the second rivalry matchup of the season when Kentucky visits Ulmer Stadium on April 22.
The Cards close out the regular season at NC State (May 1–3). Postseason play kicks off with the ACC Championship in Charlottesville (May 6–9), hosted by Virginia.
