Cardinals Have Three on All-ACC Team

It is tied for the most players on All-ACC teams in program history
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Atlantic Coast Conference announced the postseason women's soccer awards Wednesday afternoon and the Cardinals were well represented. Amelia Swinarski and Karsyn Cherry were named to the Second Team All-ACC while Emersen Jennings was named to the Third Team All-ACC. The three players are tied for the most the Cardinals have had on All-ACC teams in a single season.
Cherry has played and started in 17 games this season for the Cardinals in her senior season. She has helped Louisville collect 12 shutouts this season and a .632 shutout percentage, which leads the ACC and ranks 10th nationally. Cherry has scored three goals, tallied three assists and totaled nine points on the season.
Swinarski has started all 19 games and been the offensive catalyst for the Cardinals this season. She leads the team with nine goals, 10 assists and 28 points on the year. Her 10 assists are second in the ACC and 10th nationally while ranking fourth all-time in program history for most in a single season. She set a Lynn Stadium record in back-to-back games when she had three assists against Detroit Mercy and Wright State.
She was named ACC Co-Offensive Player of the Week after recording four goals and eight points in wins over Kent State and Dayton. In the win against Kent State, Swinarski recorded her first career hat trick and was the first Louisville player with three goals in a game since 2018. Swinarski was named to the Women's Midseason Hermann Trophy Watch List back in October.
Jennings has played in all 19 games and started in 14 games during her senior season. She has racked up a career-best five goals, four assists and 14 points on the year. She is tied for third on the team in assists and fourth on the squad in goals and points. Jennings leads the team with four game-winning goals, including winners against Virginia Tech, Miami and SMU.
Cherry has played and started in 17 games this season for the Cardinals in her senior season.
