No. 19 Louisville Shifts Focus to Boston College
October 20, 2025 | Football
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville football team is coming off one of its biggest wins in school history after last week's upset victory over No. 2 Miami.
With that game now in the rear-view mirror, the Cards look ahead to Saturday's homecoming matchup against Boston College at 7:30 p.m. ET.
"It's one win and it only counts as one, so we must move on and get ready for our next opponent," UofL head coach Jeff Brohm said. "In my opinion, every week, anybody can beat anybody on any given day. You got to prepare well, have a good plan, and execute. You got to do a lot of things right to win. That's just how college football works."
Boston College heads into Saturday's matchup with the Cards at 1-6 overall and winless in four ACC games. However, the Eagles have been close in losses to Michigan State (42-40) and Cal (28-24), and had a halftime lead on Stanford before losing in the second half.
"(The Eagles) have, unfortunately for them, had a couple of close losses that have hurt them, but they easily could have won," Brohm said about BC.
Boston College had just one ACC win when the two teams squared off one year ago, however, it required a huge comeback by the Cardinals to win on the road.
"It was 20-0 we were losing [against Boston College last year]," Brohm commented. "In the fourth quarter, we were down by 10 and we had to fight and claw to get back. If our guys don't remember that, then there's something wrong with them."
As the Cards head into Saturday, Quarterback Miller Moss' production stands out as he's accounted for 10 touchdowns, seven passing and three rushing, in the past three games.
Moss' favorite target over the last three weeks, wide receiver Chris Bell continues to shine. Bell recorded his third-straight 100-yard game at Miami, making him the first player since 2019 to do so.
Friday's win over Miami also marked the return of offensive lineman Trevonte Sylvester to the starting lineup. Squaring off with one of the top defensive lines in the country, the Louisville offensive line allowed just one sack and helped the Cards rush for 119 yards.
"Having (Sylvester) back, who has been with us for a while, it's just like getting anybody back at another position: it can help your team," Brohm stated. "I think he loves football and to compete. He's been a great teammate, and we need him to continue to progress and play well and be as competitive as he is."
Saturday's kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET and the game will be broadcast on ACC Network.
