Dixon and Dorsey Sign with the Cardinals

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Wide receivers Jakob Dixon and Rhys Dorsey have signed with the University of Louisville, head coach Jeff Brohm announced Monday.
Dixon transfers to Louisville after spending time at Eastern Kentucky and Kentucky. He appeared in 17 games over three seasons at Eastern Kentucky, recording 15 receptions for 143 yards.
A Louisville native, Dixon saw action in two games during the 2025 season, catching one pass for 10 yards. During the 2024 campaign, he totaled 14 receptions for 133 yards.
Coming out of Pleasure Ridge Park High School, Dixon originally signed with Kentucky. He earned All-State and All-District honors as a senior after helping lead the Panthers to an 8-4 record. Dixon led all Class 6A schools and ranked fifth statewide in receiving, hauling in 64 passes for 1,089 yards and 15 touchdowns while averaging 17.0 yards per catch.
Dorsey joins the Cardinals as a member of the incoming high school class after signing out of Bob Jones High School in Madison, Ala. A top-800 prospect nationally, Dorsey delivered an outstanding senior season with 47 receptions for 699 yards and seven touchdowns, earning first-team all-region honors.
As a junior, Dorsey recorded 41 catches for 763 yards and nine touchdowns in 11 games, averaging 18.6 yards per reception. A standout on special teams, he averaged 50.1 yards per kick return and also contributed defensively with one interception and one forced fumble.
Dorsey also excelled in track and field, posting personal bests of 10.95 in the 100-meter dash and 22.85 in the 200-meter dash as a junior.
The 5-foot-11, 180-pound speedster is the 20th addition to Louisville's 2026 freshman class.
