No. 11/10 Cardinals Set to Host IU and Cincinnati

LOUISVILLE, Ky- The No.11/10-ranked University of Louisville men's and women's swimming and diving teams have a big matchup ahead whent the Cardinals host the No.2/6-ranked Indiana Hoosiers, Friday, January 31, at 2 p.m. inside Ralph Wright Natatorium. The Cards then have a quick turnaround when they host Cincinnati, the next day, Saturday, February 1, at 12 p.m. inside Ralph Wright Natatorium where they will celebrate Senior Day.

The Cardinals are coming off a January 25, 2025, road sweep of their in-state rival, Kentucky Wildcats. The No. 11-ranked Louisville men defeated the No. 22-ranked Kentucky men 192-108. The No. 10-ranked Louisville women defeated the unranked Kentucky women 206-94.

The Hoosiers are coming off their own sweeping of their in-state rival, Purdue Boilermakers. A road trip on January 25, 2025, saw Indiana's No. 2-ranked men handle Purdue's men 236-64 and IU's No. 6-ranked women defeat the Boilermakers 189-111.

The Bearcats will be coming to Louisville, off a road tri-meet at Louisiana State University on January 25, 2025. In that meet, both Cincinnati's men and women teams finished second. The Bearcat men lost 186-110 and the Bearcat women 192.5-101.5, with LSU winning both of those competitions.

The last time the Cardinals hosted Indiana inside Ralph Wright Natatorium, was on January 27, 2023, when the Hoosiers swept the Cardinals. With the Hoosier men, winning 193-107 and the Hoosier women, winning 155-145. The last time Louisville hosted Cincinnati at the Ralph Wright Natatorium, was on February 3, 2024. The Cardinals swept the Bearcats, with the Louisville men, winning 205-88 and the Louisville women, winning 204-90.
