
Cardinals Begin Homestand with No. 13 Georgia Tech

Louisville has played just one home game over the past four weeks
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Louisville women's basketball team (11-5, 4-1 ACC) has spent most of the past four weeks on the road but it returns home to begin a two-game homestand this weekend. The Cardinals welcome No. 13 Georgia Tech (15-1, 3-1 ACC) to the KFC Yum! Center for a Sunday afternoon matchup. The Cardinals and Yellow Jackets will square off at 4 p.m. ET and it will be broadcast on the ACC Network.
The Cardinals return to the KFC Yum! Center riding a five-game winning streak and four of those five wins came on the road. The streak began right before Christmas with the win at Memphis and after the break, the Cardinals won four-straight ACC games at Boston College, home against Miami and then at Wake Forest and Pitt.
Louisville has played 10 of its 16 games away from home this season and are 6-1 in true road games. The six road wins are the most of any team in the ACC this season. The Cardinals six home games leading up to this weekend are the fewest of any ACC team up to this point in the season. Since the start of the 2017-18 season, Louisville is 75-18 (.806) in true road games. The wins rank third nationally and the winning percentage is fifth in the NCAA over that time.
In the most recent win over Pitt, Louisville outscored the Panthers 44-28 in the second half to pick up its fifth-straight win. Tajianna Roberts led the way in scoring with 17 points and set a season-high with five made three-pointers. The five three pointers is tied for the most made by a Louisville player this season. Roberts leads the team in scoring with 12.8 points per game and has a team-high 13 games with double-digit points.
Jayda Curry scored in double figures for the fifth-straight game with 10 points and was 2-for-2 from the free throw line. Curry is 32-34 (94.1 percent) from the free throw line this season, a mark that leads the ACC and ranks 10th nationally. Curry is second on the team in scoring with 11.3 points per game and has scored in double figures in nine of her 12 games.

With the win, Louisville improved to 11-0 all-time against Georgia Tech and 6-0 after a loss this season. Sydney Taylor had her best game in a Louisville uniform in the win over the Yellow Jackets. She scored a team-best 31 points on 10-for-16 shooting and was 7-for-12 from behind the arc. The 31 points were the most by a Louisville player this season and the seven three-pointers were the most by a Louisville player this season. It is the most threes made by a Louisville player since Dana Evans hit seven against Boston College on Jan. 16, 2020. Taylor also added four rebounds, four assists and tied a career high with four steals. Olivia Cochran led the team with 12 rebounds on the night as was just short of a double double with eight points.
